When I started running and what got me started:
Seventh grade - I would run home from school (2 miles) to see if I could beat the bus. I could do something most other people either couldn't or didn't like to do.
What does running mean to me:
Sustained physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Favorite running trail and why:
Section 16 - Peaceful run with few people.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak Marathon - Great challenge in the middle of trail running paradise.
Best running experience:
1998 Pikes Peak Marathon - Reached a goal that spanned over three years of consistent training.
Worst running experience:
2002 Milwaukee Marathon - still thought I was in the shape of 1998 - Had a great 1/2 marathon time - bonked and fell out at mile 18.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Running related bathroom stop story:
All I can say is avoid a high fiber diet before going on a long mountain run.
Running pet peeves:
Rude runners/hikers who can't smile and say hello when on the trail.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I left home and became a cowboy after graduating from High School.
Other hobbies and interests:
Packer football. Reading. Remodeling homes.
