Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
Rockford, IL
San Antonio, TX
Dallas, TX
Colorado - I Love the trails and mountains, and sunny blue skies.

When I started running and what got me started:
I started jogging in college to burn off the freshman 10.

What does running mean to me:
Relaxing and Energizing, it is something very special.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
1998 - Imogene Pass Winner
1998-2000 Pikes Peak Ascent Winner
2004-2005 - Hawaii Ironman Finisher

What I like about trail/mountain running:
The beautiful scenery and hilly terrain.

Favorite running trail and why:
Williams canyon because after a nice hard run uphill you are treated to one of the most gorgious canyons you will see. The redwood forest of niscene marks in Aptos,CA is awesome and gives you energy to run all day (John showed it to me:-)).

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak Ascent. I have respect for the mountain - I've done it many times (9?) and each time I am in disbelief that I was able to get up there in the time I ran.

Best running experience:
The first time I won Pikes Peak Ascent and then did the Marathon the next day. I was running on cloud 9.

Worst running experience:
The Aspen Sky Marathon. I was considered a favorite, and bonked halfway through and struggled to finish close to last.

Neatest thing found on a run:
Met my husband at a race - you guessed it, he was cracking jokes.

Running pet peeves:
Poor Sports. It should be fun, and even on a bad day you can congratulate someone else.

Other hobbies and interests:
Biking, Swimming, Skiing, Yoga, Reading, Eating, Margaritas, and Lumping.

Other stuff:
Don't give up. When it gets tuff remember that good days will come.
