What I do for work:
going to school full time, working at jose muldoon's while doing that

Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
i've called california, colorado, new york, florida, south carolina, connecticut, washington, japan and thailand home

When I started running and what got me started:
started running around 3 years ago because i lost my driver's license and needed to have some way of getting around! now i have my license, but running is fun!

What does running mean to me:
running gives me time to think. it gives me time to clear my head. it gives me some other meaning to my life other than school and work. it gives me a sense of accomplishment. it gives me goals and something to work toward.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
pikes peak ascent 2 years ago, and doing it again this year, 2 marathons (vegas and denver), first half marathon in 2008 and a few others since, including the horse tooth marathon which was the toughest half ive done.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
being out away from the roads with complete quiet, challenging climbs, relaxing descents, great views, cool people out usually when you run into others

Favorite running trail and why:
don't have a favorite really, although ive loved running trails in washington

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
i would have to say the ascent because it is the only one ive done so far and the feeling of finishing was amazing

Best running experience:
ran solid just under 7 minute miles through 16.2 miles in the vegas marathon, which i never thought i would be able to do

Worst running experience:
ran horrible miles from 16.2 to 26.2 miles in the vegas marathon, i definitely burnt myself out! =)

Neatest thing found on a run:
usually the views? haven't really found anything all that great on a run, other than my car at the end of a really hard and exhausting run, that was pretty neat!

Running pet peeves:
probably some the same as others..i hate red lights when city running, i definitely greatly prefer shorts and no shirt while running, i slack BIG TIME in the winter because i hate the cold and wearing layers, although sometimes i have really enjoyed the peacefulness of running in the snow

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
i can read and write hiragana and katakana..and i really don't like the .5 that this website adds to my age! lol

Other hobbies and interests:
anything that gets my blood moving, love biking, love cross fit and other workouts

Other stuff:
my goal is a sub 3:15 ascent this year
