I like it here. I like the snow on the mountains, the trails along the river, living so close to Bear Creek State Park . . .

When I started running and what got me started:
I have run on and off since I was 10 years old. My uncle got me started because he would sign my whole family up for the annual turkey trot near our house in VA. We had no choice.

What does running mean to me:
I love the feeling afterward! And I like the way I can actually measure my progress in indurance and lung ability.

Running accomplishments:
Half Marathon with consistant 10 minute miles. 1st for my age group on a 6 mile run when I was 12. 6 minute mile (in the past)
Running 4 miles everyday (also in the past). But I want to get close to that again.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
I feel like I can go faster. Time moves faster too.

Favorite running trail and why:
Bear Creek loops because I can get to them by opening the door and running. no need to drive. and because I am new here and do not know of many others.

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
N/A

Best running experience:
Running down this extreme 2 mile trail in NC where you even have to use a rope to get down parts of it. It ends at this amazing class 5 rapid on the Green river.

Worst running experience:
Just starting out after a two year lazy break. It hurt! (but it also felt great to be back in the game)

Neatest thing found on a run:
$20 when I needed it the most in college.
Also a dead baby dolphin on the beach.

Running related bathroom stop story:
Someones yard with my now husband keeping watch for me.

Running pet peeves:
Cars too close. dogs in the way.

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I collect coins.

Other hobbies and interests:
Snowboarding!, All things art, reading, soccer, White water rafting guide, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, rock climbing, biking, Rock hounding, flower pressing. . .

Other stuff:
So much. . . There is just too much out there and I can't get enough!! I love fruit!!!
