Marital Status: Married

Family members:
1 Panda dog, and 2 annoying cats

What I do for work:
IT System Administration

Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
Massachusetts, Alaska, and Colorado! Loving Colorado for it's Mountains, it's trails, and the running scene.

When I started running and what got me started:
Started running in 2009, initially to lose weight. I've gone from 250+ lbs to 160 lbs, and I'm now addicted to running.

What does running mean to me:
Running means getting outside and feeling alive.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
Several Marathons, even more Halfs, and 1 Pike's Peak Ascent!

What I like about trail/mountain running:
More dynamic and much more exciting than running the roads. I've always enjoyed the challenge of tackling hills versus avoiding them.

Favorite running trail and why:
Any of the surrounding trails within Garden of the God's is probably on top right now, as it's fairly dynamic. Constant up and downs and spectacular scenery.

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Right now, Pike's Peak/Ascent. Love the challenge, and it's the only race of it's caliber that I've run.

Best running experience:
Ran my fastest mile (at the time) in Mississippi while in military technical training. It was midnight, still in the upper 80's, heavy humidity, and yet I felt amazing and I ran my first sub 6 minute mile.

Worst running experience:
Worst.... Colorado Marathon (2014). Wasn't prepared for the constant decline, my knees were killing me for the last half of the race. Definitely my most miserable marathon.

Running pet peeves:
Yo-yoing.

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Eh... I love boardgames. And no...not Monopoly.

Other hobbies and interests:
Beer, homebrewing, coffee, and boardgames.

Other stuff:
Training for 2017's Pike's Peak Marathon. Hope to run the Leadville 100 by 2020, if not earlier. Have always wanted to run the Boston Marathon.....need to qualify for that someday.
