Subject: Incline Club V4 OS#1
Hi all,
I know you are getting a lot of club e-mail but I have a few time sensitive
things to pass on so I need to send another one besides no one has asked
to be removed from the list yet so I figure I will push the limit! Heck a
few of you actually say you like getting this much running related mail:-)

A runner is trying to unload an Imogene Pass Run entry to *this years race*
that they won at the Barr Trail Mountain Race random drawings. Turns out
they can not go even though they traded a $35 gift certificate they won to
get the entry from another runner who had won it confused yet? At any
rate, they would like to sell it for the cost of the entry which I believe
is $38. First one to ask for it gets it!!! NOTE: this is a LEGIT entry
that was given away so you can cross the line and everything:-)

Please send this out to the Incline Club mailing list at your EARLIEST
convenience (the Colorado Relay stuff is time-critical):
Lynn, Alex and I want to thank everyone who contributed to our
BabyJogger gift! Were very excited to use it as soon as Alex is big
enough! Well treat everyone to dessert or breakfast as a Thank You
sometime after the Incline Club resumes formal workouts again!
Also, Im looking for people interested in participating in the
Colorado Relay, September 15-16. For those unfamiliar with this race,
it is a 170-mile relay race from Idaho Springs to Glenwood Springs;
teams have 10 runners, each of whom runs 3 legs of the race. It follows
back roads, trails, and bike paths through the heart of the Colorado
Mountains, passing through Georgetown, crossing Guanella Pass, passing
Breckenridge, Frisco, Copper Mountain, and Vail, and finally following
the Colorado River into Glenwood Springs. The race dates provide a
great chance to see the aspens turning golden. My company is paying to
sponsor the race, and received a complimentary team entry now we need
runners! There will be no cost to the runners other than personal food
and drinks, and an optional overnight stay in the Glenwood Springs area
after the race. If interested, e-mail (e-mail address removed for www posting), or call
570-3147 during the day, 260-6380 in the evenings.

After that (October) you should consider taking a few weeks or a month and
relaxing and letting any aches and pains go away. THIS DOES NOT MEAN NO
RUNNING!!! Why lose it all when with just a few runs a week you can maintain
fitness and not have to start from scratch? Then in November you should
start building back up so that you are ready for the first long run of the
2001 season which will take place on the last Sunday in November it seems
a long time from now but it flies by!!!

WWW posts:
8/24/2000 We broke our club party record when 54 people came to the annual
Incline Club Party! Tons of food was put away and lots of awards were given
out. Now we go into off season mode until the last Sunday of November.
8/19&20/2000 Right at 80 people who have run with the Incline Club this year
ran either the ascent, marathon or both. We had 10 (a new club PR) people in
the top 10!!! In other words 25% of the top 10 finish spots were taken by
runners who ran with the club including 6 club regulars! We also got 7 more
top 20 spots and a bunch of age-group awards.
8/17/2000 38 came for a pace check run for Sundays race. We went from the
PPA/M start to Hydro street working on our splits. A nice rain - our fist
during a run for the season - kept things cool. Then it got downright wet
during the cooldown back to the park. Now its time to put your feet up and
do some mental imagery!
