2010 Season News

3/7/10 Sun: Back above 50 runners with 52 today. Most did either Longs or Waldo with a few going for the Double. Not a bad day to be out running today! At least once we broke out above the clouds into the sun which was AWESOME! One of those days where it looked like you could just run off a switchback out onto the clouds and across the world.

2/28/10 Sun: Only 48 came out for the ice fest today. The trip to Barr Camp and back was fairly slippery.

2/21/10 Sun: 51 came out for another insanely cold day! The humidity made it feel particularly bad:-( The Waldo/LRR Double was the run.

2/14/10 Sun: Was it the cold or was it Valentine's day? Or perhaps it was both that produced the smallest club turnout of the season - 55 runners. Off to Barr Camp we headed and did I mention it was cold?

2/7/10 Sun: 73 came out for another Double. It stayed cold and started snowing during the run. But a run is a run.

1/31/10 Sun: A much nicer day greeted 77 ICers for a run up to Barr Camp and back. The new snow, although not deep, was just enough to give some traction back to the trail. The sun even popped out halfway through the trip back down.

1/24/10 Sun: 78 were treated to a cold and windy day today. Not much fun at all. Even the ice was about as bad as most of us had ever seen it. But hey, we came, we ran and stuck to the plan.

1/17/10 Sun: 93 ICers showed today for our first run up to Barr Camp and back. And the good news is quite a few made it! Looks like the ice flow at No Name is trying to return for the first time in years.

1/10/10 Sun: A whopping 98 ICers came out for the first Double of the year and were subjected to this. With that, we headed off out into the woods. Things warmed up nicely and we were treated to a feedback after the run.

1/03/10 Sun: The first IC run of 2010 had a whopping 97 in attendance. The run started out cold but the sun on Longs Ranch Road helped warm things up. Barr was not to bad for the trip back down to the park.

12/27/09 Sun: 86 came out on another cold day. Most did Waldo but a growing number of people headed up Rampart Range Road and its better footing.

12/20/09 Sun: 88 showed for the 1st annual IC toy drive. Tons of toys were collected and delivered to Santa to deliver to kids. With that, the run was started. Ute was a mess and Longs was not much better. But it made for a great run in tough conditions which only makes us stronger.

12/13/09 Sun: Another big group of 95 came out for a little fun and a lot of run. Conditions on Ute/Waldo were reported as bad at best. Those of us that went up Rampart Range Road had it good although there was some wind. No matter which way the runners went however, they were treated to some food after the run as today was our first feedbag:-)

12/06/09 Sun: The Incline Club has discovered a way to cut down on Carbon emissions! No, not offer a free pair of shoes for car pooling (that was a bust) but instead simply schedule a run when it is colder than ice (18) and snowing. “Only” 79 showed for today’s snowfest. Still a big group by any standard but are there really that many people afraid of a little bad weather? But hey, like was said today at the run, “we want days like today because the competition will stay home and we will get ahead!” And ahead we got in some rather deep snow on Longs Ranch Road - AWESOME!

11/29/09 Sun: A new club record of 136 signed in for the first run of the 2010 season. AMAZING! After a group photo (which shows 140 so 4 must not have signed in) we headed off to go find Waldo. Although there was a little packed snow the ice was not too bad.

11/25/2009 Wed: Another e-mail was sent out announcing the first club run of the 2010 season on November 30th.
