2010 Season
8/27/2010 Fri: The club is now in off season mode. Club runs start back up on the last Sunday in November which is the 28th. 8/26/2010 Thur: The 14th annual IC end of season party was attended by at least 56. The following 24 folks got an IC award for coming to 45 or more IC runs: Pete Tonsits 45, Jack Ramsey 45, Linda Aiman, 46, Eddie Baxter, 48, Tim Virgo 50 (Perfect Sunday Streak), Phil Goulding 51, Chaz Lalonde 51, Fred Wright 52, Larry Miller 54, Tracey Anderson 55 (Driven), Michael Everson 55 (Pefect Thursday Streak), Glen Ash 55, Anita Fromm 55, KJ Bruno 56, Dan Cockrell 56, Andrea Cichosz 58, John Garner 59, Matt Carpenter 60 (Perfect Thursday and Sunday streaks), John O' Donnell 60 (Perfect Thursday and Sunday streaks), Brenda Cowell 59 (Perfect Thursday and Sunday streaks). Tracey killed it this year and was the clear Driven award winner! 4/18/10 Sun: 63 came out for a run that started out foggy and wet. However, by 20 minutes into the run we were above the clouds. Making things even better is there was no snow on Longs Ranch Road until the very last turn. 4/15/10 Thur: Another 54 showed for a 20 minute tempo run up the Barr Trail. Rain was in issue towards the end but that never bothers the IC. 4/11/10 Sun: A crisp but not cold day got 60 ICers out of bed. Reports of ice and crunchy snow above No Name sent quite a few off to do Section 16. There were only a couple of hundred yards of packed snow on the backside downhill. Beyond that, the run was as awesome as always. 4/08/10 Thur: 56 came out for the 1st Thursday workout of the Season. 20 mins of 1 min hard, 1 min easy was the workout. We moved our hill repeats down to the Paul Intemann trail so we had no cars to worry about and no neighbors to contend with. 4/04/10 Sun: There were 64 ICers today. Many went back to Waldo, Longs or both now that some of the snow is melting off. A great da for a run:-) 3/28/10 Sun: 67 ICers came out for a run. Some dealt with less than nice conditions above No Name Creek. Others opted for the Garden of the Gods. And quite a few up us headed up Rampart Range Road. 3/21/10 Sun: Back into the 60s today. 66 runners that is. While the run was the Double (Waldo/LRR) some of us ran up Rampart Range Road to avoid some of the new snow. It was awesome. That time of year again. 3/14/10 Sun: 49 showed for another cold day. Winter is holding on tight this year:-( The run was to Barr Camp and back. 3/7/10 Sun: Back above 50 runners with 52 today. Most did either Longs or Waldo with a few going for the Double. Not a bad day to be out running today! At least once we broke out above the clouds into the sun which was AWESOME! One of those days where it looked like you could just run off a switchback out onto the clouds and across the world. 2/28/10 Sun: Only 48 came out for the ice fest today. The trip to Barr Camp and back was fairly slippery. 2/21/10 Sun: 51 came out for another insanely cold day! The humidity made it feel particularly bad:-( The Waldo/LRR Double was the run. 2/14/10 Sun: Was it the cold or was it Valentine's day? Or perhaps it was both that produced the smallest club turnout of the season - 55 runners. Off to Barr Camp we headed and did I mention it was cold? 2/7/10 Sun: 73 came out for another Double. It stayed cold and started snowing during the run. But a run is a run. 1/31/10 Sun: A much nicer day greeted 77 ICers for a run up to Barr Camp and back. The new snow, although not deep, was just enough to give some traction back to the trail. The sun even popped out halfway through the trip back down. 1/24/10 Sun: 78 were treated to a cold and windy day today. Not much fun at all. Even the ice was about as bad as most of us had ever seen it. But hey, we came, we ran and stuck to the plan. 1/17/10 Sun: 93 ICers showed today for our first run up to Barr Camp and back. And the good news is quite a few made it! Looks like the ice flow at No Name is trying to return for the first time in years. 1/10/10 Sun: A whopping 98 ICers came out for the first Double of the year and were subjected to this. With that, we headed off out into the woods. Things warmed up nicely and we were treated to a feedback after the run. 1/03/10 Sun: The first IC run of 2010 had a whopping 97 in attendance. The run started out cold but the sun on Longs Ranch Road helped warm things up. Barr was not to bad for the trip back down to the park. 2/28/10 Sun: Only 48 came out for the ice fest today. The trip to Barr Camp and back was fairly slippery. 2/21/10 Sun: 51 came out for another insanely cold day! The run started out cold but the sun on Longs Ranch Road helped warm things up. Barr was not to bad for the trip back down to the park. 12/27/09 Sun: 86 came out on another cold day. Most did Waldo but a growing number of people headed up Rampart Range Road and its better footing. 12/20/09 Sun: 88 showed for the 1st annual IC toy drive. Tons of toys were collected and delivered to Santa to deliver to kids. With that, the run was started. Ute was a mess and Longs was not much better. But it made for a great run in tough conditions which only makes us stronger. 12/13/09 Sun: Another big group of 95 came out for a little fun and a lot of run. Conditions on Ute/Waldo were reported as bad at best. Those of us that went up Rampart Range Road had it good although there was some wind. No matter which way the runners went however, they were treated to some food after the run as today was our first feedbag:-) 12/06/09 Sun: The Incline Club has discovered a way to cut down on Carbon emissions! No, not offer a free pair of shoes for car pooling (that was a bust) but instead simply schedule a run when it is colder than ice (18) and snowing. Only 79 showed for todays snowfest. Still a big group by any standard but are there really that many people afraid of a little bad weather? But hey, like was said today at the run, we want days like today because the competition will stay home and we will get ahead! And ahead we got in some rather deep snow on Longs Ranch Road - AWESOME! 11/29/09 Sun: A new club record of 136 signed in for the first run of the 2010 season. AMAZING! After a group photo (which shows 140 so 4 must not have signed in) we headed off to go find Waldo. Although there was a little packed snow the ice was not too bad. 11/25/2009 Wed: Another e-mail was sent out announcing the first club run of the 2010 season on November 29th. 11/18/2009 Wed: An e-mail was sent out today announcing the start of the 2010 season our 14th. |
